About

Considered glazing, properly done.

We're small, by design. Maison Glass & Aluminium exists to do the work the volume market hasn't the patience for, and the commercial sector hasn't the appetite for — director-led, documented, delivered with the discipline the work deserves.

Founding

Maison Glass & Aluminium was founded by Jason Ah-Young — two decades specifying and installing glass across Melbourne's residential and architectural projects.

What Jason kept seeing was the same pattern: architects and renovating homeowners quoted by four glaziers, none of whom had named the glass spec or the AS standard on the quote, attended a measure with the architect present, or returned a call about a silicone defect six months on.

Maison Glass & Aluminium was built to be the alternative. Director-led on every project — Jason or a named senior coordinator at consultation, measure, install milestone and handover. Glass specified by name, AS standard, hardware brand and finish on every quote. Compliance certified at handover. Aftercare scheduled at 6, 12 and 24 months — not waiting for the call. The team is small because the work demands it.

Philosophy

Glass is the most quietly demanding material on a residential site — safety-critical, dimensionally unforgiving, and the easiest to compromise on without the client noticing, until it cracks, leaks, fogs or fails.

The discipline that prevents those failures is documentation. Every specification written. Every measure double-checked. Every install photographed. Every compliance line certified. And we treat the home like the home it is — surface protection, daily clean, defined working hours. The client wakes up after install day to a clean bathroom, not a renovation site.

The difference

Three commitments.

01

Considered Craft

We specify by name — glass spec on every quote line, hardware brand and finish named, aluminium system identified with its AS 2047 certificate attached. No "premium quality" placeholders; only specifications a builder and architect can verify the day the truck arrives.

02

Documented Discipline

Every project is photographed from measure through handover. Every variation is written and signed, every compliance line certified, every warranty registered with the manufacturer in your name. You receive a documented handover pack at completion — not a verbal "you’re all set".

03

Quiet Authority

Technical depth without lecturing. We explain AS 1288’s location-by-location requirements when it matters, and quietly specify a laminated panel where toughened would not meet the loading. We do not make a feature of the standards. Standards are the floor.

The team

Director-led, by name.

Start the conversation

Start with a consultation.

A consultation is the start of the conversation, not a commitment. We meet, walk the scope, look at samples, and follow up with a written brief within five business days.
